The Friars
A well known known stopover point near midway on the A68 road which links Edinburgh with Newcastle, the market town of Jedburgh demands some more time spent seeking out its ample attractions and charms. Famed for its Abbey, a majestic ruin nowadays and once the focus of many battles between Scots and English forces, the town is awash with such historic associations.

Termed the 'Jewel of the Borders', it is set against some wonderful natural landscapes too and ideally placed for it all is the Dromore, superb holiday cottage accommodation for two which provides all the comforts and amenities of home on holiday.

A self-contained, semi-detached annex of a family home at Friars Acre, the Dromore occupies an elevated position overlooking the town and with great views beyond. Take the short stroll into the town centre for all associated attractions and amenities or set off on foot or two wheels to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. There is safe storage on site for cycles and motorbikes and a fully enclosed garden with seating for some summer al fresco dining.

Inside the property the open plan living room and kitchen provides everything required for living in comfort and style, including all white goods, microwave, coffee maker and TV with DVD and freeview.

The double bedroom has fitted wardrobes, anti-allergy duvet and pillows, with all bed linen provided. Towels are provided too for use in the shower room and a travel cot and highchair can be provided by prior arrangement.

The Dromore is available for rental on a weekly basis throughout the year with weekend breaks additionally available at certain times. Pets and smoking are not permitted.

Weekly rates start from just £245 and a warm welcome is assured courtesy of the proprietors who live right next door. Contact the Dromore for further information, to check for availability and to make a booking.
